The peaceful town of Fish Hoek lies along the coastal road between Glencairn and Kalk Bay. It is situated in a glorious bay, where its 1.5 km beach overlooks the misty mountains of Hottentots Holland range.

Fish Hoek beach with its powdery white sands, invites holiday makers to spend long, sunny days tanning, swimming, building sandcastles or playing beach volleyball. For the more active water sport lovers, there is sailing, kite surfing or paddling, with kayaks available for hire nearby. The Fish Hoek Galley offers a choice of fine dining, café food and take-aways (with the best soft-serve ice cream in the deep South!). The beach is also a prime whale-watching spot between July and November, when these massive sea creatures populate the bay during calving season.

A bit further back from the beach, you'll find the Silvermine Wetlands, with well-kept wooden boardwalks that are popular with joggers and dog walkers alike. And there's always a well-placed bench for bird watching along the way.

For golfers, there is the Clovelly Golf Course, on the border between Fish Hoek and Clovelly. This course is ranked 16th in the Top 100 Golf Courses in SA, with great views of the valley from their club house.
