Winter offers a quieter, more relaxed time of the year, with a mix of crisp days, unexpected bursts of sunshine and breath-taking sunsets. It’s a great time to stay in one of our many cosy villas and snuggle up beside the fire.

Winter also brings a different kind of charm to local activities. Enjoy a refreshing beach walk followed by coffee at one of the cosy cafés in Scarborough or Kommetjie; or visit the Constantia wine farms for tastings by the fire. Whale watching begins in June along the False Bay coast, and the surrounding mountains offer crisp, quiet hikes with fewer crowds.

After a day out, visit one of the many local restaurants known for their hearty winter menus. Many venues feature fireplaces or ocean views, making them perfect for a relaxed winter evening out.
