A relaxing holiday can lead to mindfulness

mindfulness/ˈmʌɪn(d)f(ʊ)lnəs/: live in the present moment … be intentionally more aware and fully engaged in what is happening in one’s surroundings.

Be present and stay present; it’s much much easier said than done.

It’s important to choose your surroundings carefully … life has many distractions; the world today is fast paced with so much going on in our lives.

Self-care is a modern luxury and crucial to our well being – barefoot on the white sand seems the perfect place for it. Fresh mountain water, home cooked meals, a cup of coffee, indulging in a great book with your toes in the sand or a simple walk on the beach.

What better way to start this self-care than by taking a well-deserved holiday with friends and family at the beach?! Practice the special art of mindfulness and do all of that without distraction.

Your ultimate holiday is waiting to be discovered!

The End of an Era … farewell Anneline

We bid farewell to our dear Anneline who has worked with us since 2011. While we may no longer be able to call her a colleague, she leaves friends, memories, and lessons learned for each of us. We’ve loved her journey, with all the highs and lows and the many laughs. Her integrity has stood the test of time. It’s been a pleasure getting to know Anneline, seeing her grow and working with her at CVC.

Anneline has made hundreds of bookings for families from all over the world, creating thousands of memories across the Western Cape. She’s been by our side through new beginnings, mergers, ebola, visa restrictions, water crisis, loadshedding and covid; perfect summers, record months and so many delighted returning guests. The team faces have changed over the years, and now it’s Anneline’s turn to spread her wings. We wish her all the luck in the world in her future endeavours.

We’re spoilt for choice when it comes to our weekly team coffee mornings; almost 10 years after the middle image above. Our first in 11 years without Anneline (although her name was mentioned often) at The Blue Water Café in Imhoff Farm, Kommetjie; well worth a visit for lunch with picture perfect views across the valley to the Atlantic Ocean, local shopping and an animal filled farmyard waiting to be fed by the visiting children.
