World Rhino Day – Cape Town 22nd September 2011

We need to all stand together and stop this ruthless poaching of one of our biggest assets -The Rhino!

According to statistics, last year 333 Rhinos were killed. So far in in 2011, a total of 279 Rhinos have been poached, with the greater number of them being in Kruger National Park. The latest killings took place almost in our backyard, at Aquila Private Game Reserve!

Rhino Africa will be hosting an awareness campaign on 22nd September 2011 from 11:30 to 1:30 outside Parliament, at the Louis Botha statue! This is the second year that this hugely successful campaign will be running!

Bring your placards, wear red and take some time off from your day and make a difference!

Our Springbok Rugby Team

Yesterday we waved off our Springbok Rugby team and wished them well for their trip to New Zealand and for the Rugby World Cup. It is always so amazing to see our rainbow nation stand together and show support for a sport that has always united us!

Today, and every Friday the whole of South Africa is going to be celebrating “Bok Friday”! So, don’t forget to wear your green and gold with pride and to brush up on your anthem singing skills and stand proud behind our boys.
